School to Work Apprenticeships:

Trade Schools for the Future enable young people to gain practical skills for work
while they are still at school.        School to Work Apprenticeship Brokers connect
students with training organizations and the opportunity to become apprentices
or trainees with local industries and business.

A School-Based Apprenticeship will give you:

  • a wage while you are still at school

  • hands-on experience in a real job

  • a head start to your career

  • nationally recognized qualifications

  • the latest knowledge and skills

  • a great way to move gradually from school into the workforce

  • training and experience on the job to meet specific job needs

  • credit towards your South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE)

  • the opportunity to become a valued employee in the industry or business of your choice.

Traineeships:

A School Based Traineeship is a way for senior high school students to combine paid work & training with school.

The student undertakes Certificate 2 studies associated with their employment and can earn up to 8 SACE units!
